The Gateway Arch is a global icon and symbol of the St. Louis region. It represents the spirit in all of us to discover and grow. With this project comes the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to integrate the Gateway Arch and what it represents into the fabric of the region. And in doing so, make it easier for St. Louisans and visitors to safely access and enjoy a treasured monument and the space surrounding it.

By uniting our region and one of the world’s  most recognizable icons with another of our greatest assets – the Mississippi River—we will build new connections, invigorate existing attractions and expand points of interest beyond the existing park to the East and West riverbanks and into the region itself.
